Yvelines, November 11, 2017 — Every year international Lions Club Brussels Heraldic participates in its Paris sister club Yvelines Heraldic ‘PLOUF’ in Paris. This year was no exception and the day long event raised over € 20,000 for an Yvelines care centre supporting autistic individuals in the Ile de France. Our heroic Heraldic team led by President Jaak Neyns and propelled by Lions Dirk Deberdt and Robert Vrydagh (helped by Yvelines member Hetty Dingelden in the photo) made a significant contribution. Behind the scenes, Lion Françoise Rouer and Jaak’s wife Hilde applied some of the many years experience of running Swimarathon events.
Lions Splash (swimarathon) unique formula pioneered by the Lions Club of Brussels Heraldic has made substantial financial contributions to welfare causes in Belgium and abroad, estimated at around € 3.5 million over 34 years with the national swimarathon included.
