Who is équi-Valence?
équi-Valence is a charitable organization for both mentally and physical disabled people. In addition to the healing effects of "hippotherapy", équi-Valence gives people a chance to interact with horses by taking care of them, brushing, cuddling and so on. Based in Momignies (near Chimay in the Ardennes) équi-Valence also provides other activities such as movies, away days, holiday camps, outdoor activities etc. The club's activities are led by several volunteers, giving benefit to about twenty participants from all ages.
How do we help équi-Valence?
équi-Valence needs a covered riding arena in order to enable sessions or camps during the whole year. They hope to cover the considerable costs involved by buying a second-hand riding hall, and realizing themselves together with the ‘customers’ the concrete foundations and reconstruction. They are also looking for sponsoring from local service clubs and private companies, the latter against free publicity inside the premises.
