SPLASH 2019 Prize Giving Ceremony

Lions Heraldic SPLASH Prize giving concludes a successful year of fund raising for Lions Heraldic

At our annual Splash Prize giving in Woluwe Tennis club activities chairperson Jaak addresses our club members, Splash participants and family members to conclude the results of this year’s swimarathon and to thank our wonderful partners for their contribution this year.

One of our Splash drivers, Philippe Godbille rises to the challenge every year with his blazingly fast CNSW teams and once again gets the Top Group Sponsor award for 2019. Thank you Philippe and all of your swimming stars

Our President Marc and treasurer Robert congratulate Mito Schram from our first choice t’Vosje who are supported by Splash to help their athletes participate in the Special Olympics this year. Funds from Splash will help register the athletes. Special Olympics promote the social integration of people with mental disabilities through sport.

Our second Splash charity this year was La Cité Joyeuse, who develop an innovative project Tobil a tablet system with ocular control that lets children interact with computers using their eyes. Tobii captures the eye movements of the child, making it possible to communicate through tablet, to use educational games and to evolve the cognitive skills of the child. Marc and Robert thank Pascale Gob for all of the great work La Cité Joyeuse does.

Partners make our life easier, and this is especially the case with the schools and our regular partner BJAB. Holly Simpson is thanked by Jaak with the Great Job Award for her patience in pulling together the  many kids from BJAB to reinforce the continuous presence of our Brussels Schools at our Splash event.

Finally, there are non Lions members in the background who every year diligently  perform a fantastic job in organising the people and teams at Splash. So this year we give a special thanks (again) to Hilde for her Super Support in the changing rooms and to our own Amazing Mon (Monique,  below) who keeps the teams organised throughout the day with patience and humour.
